Tax Preparation & Filing
Federal and multi-state returns for individuals and businesses — accurate, on time, and positioned to minimize what you legitimately owe.
Most businesses buy bookkeeping, tax, and advisory separately, then absorb the gaps between them. We run all three as one coordinated rhythm — so nothing falls through, and nothing surprises you in April.
Your bookkeeper closes the books with no context for the tax decision coming in November. Your tax preparer sees the results too late to shape the year. Your advisor builds forecasts on numbers that were never reconciled. Each one does their piece well — and you absorb every gap between them.
We close that gap. One team, one point of accountability, across every financial function you have.
You need clean financials to scale, raise, or eventually sell. We build the infrastructure that makes that possible — and then we run it.
Rolling models so you always know your exact runway, not last quarter's guess.
QuickBooks built right, reconciled monthly, and structured to survive real scrutiny.
Entity elections, estimated payments, and deductions planned across the year — not reconstructed in April.
Your income doesn't fit neatly on a W-2. Multiple streams, multiple states, and a return that deserves more than an hour at a storefront.
Resident, nonresident, and self-employment layers handled correctly the first time.
Solo 401(k), HSA, and home-office positions built to hold up — and documented properly.
You talk to your advisor. Not a queue, not a seasonal temp, not a chatbot.
Each service is designed to strengthen the others, so reporting, planning, and compliance improve together rather than competing for attention.
Federal and multi-state returns for individuals and businesses — accurate, on time, and positioned to minimize what you legitimately owe.
Year-round planning tied to live numbers: entity elections, estimated payments, retirement vehicles, and deduction optimization.
Transactions, reconciliations, AP/AR, and a disciplined monthly close — books that stay decision-ready all year, not just at year-end.
P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow prepared to acceptable standards, plus the dashboards that turn them into decisions.
Forecasting, budgeting, margin analysis, and board-ready reporting — executive financial leadership without an executive salary.
PBC preparation, internal-controls assessment, and deficiency remediation, drawn from Big 4 audit floors.
US GAAP and IFRS guidance on the hard parts: revenue recognition, leases, financial instruments, consolidations.
Entity formation, QuickBooks setup and cleanup, system selection, and financially grounded guidance for the decisions that matter.
Clean books, live numbers, and a tax strategy that runs all year. That is what it looks like when the finance function finally works.
The principle behind Merchant Financial Advisory
You don't need a $300,000 CFO on payroll, and you don't need a Fortune 500 playbook dropped on a ten-person team. You need the right expertise, right-sized, at the right time.
A senior team of experienced accountants and tax professionals, led by a founder who is a member of ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, UK) with Big Four audit and assurance behind him. For engagements that require a licensed CPA, we partner with licensed CPAs.
The engagement fits where your business actually is today, and grows only when your business does. Flat monthly fees or hourly, always quoted before we start.
Modern cloud systems, secure document handling, and documented process — so good months aren't luck and bad months aren't a mystery.
"He really takes the time to understand your project and deliver quality work." — that's a client review, and it's also the whole operating model. Understand first. Then build.

You choose how you pay. Ongoing bookkeeping and advisory are usually a flat monthly fee, so your cost is predictable. One-off projects like cleanups and catch-up work get a project quote, and we also work on hourly contracts if you prefer to pay as you go. Bookkeeping pricing depends mainly on your monthly transaction volume, the number of accounts, complexity, and whether your books are on a cash or accrual basis. Everything is quoted upfront after a free consultation.
For bookkeeping, tell us roughly how many accounts your business has, including bank accounts, credit cards and loans (an estimate is fine). That gives us your approximate monthly transaction volume, which, together with complexity, drives bookkeeping pricing. If you know whether your books are on a cash or accrual basis, mention that too; if not, we'll work it out together. For tax returns, have last year's return handy if you can.
Absolutely — as a QuickBooks ProAdvisor, cleanups and rebuilds are a specialty. We restructure your chart of accounts, correct misclassifications, reconcile every account, and hand back financials you can actually trust.
Yes. Prior-year filings, catch-up bookkeeping, and estimated payment planning to get you current and keep you there. The sooner we start, the more options you have — reach out for a confidential conversation.
Cash-flow forecasting, budgeting, KPI dashboards, pricing and margin analysis, financing support, and investor or board reporting — scaled to your business, at a fraction of a full-time hire.
Painlessly. After a short consultation we handle the transition — requesting prior records, reviewing past filings, and standing up your systems — usually with no disruption to your operations.
